Drilling Adapters

NOW Wellhead manufactures a wide variety of Drilling Spools (Riser Spools), and Double Studded Adapters for use in the adaptation and elevation of the BOP stack to the wellhead assembly on drilling and production rigs. Also available is a variety of Flanged to Union Adapters for high pressure hose or chicksan connections.

Drilling spools are available in either API flange or API hub design, or a combination of both, to be used as crossovers or spacers for a variety of drilling applications. All spools are manufactured with a full open bore to allow passage of downhole tools and hangers. Drilling spools can be manufactured to meet customer specifications such as length, pressure rating, and end connection.

Double Studded Adapter Flanges are available in a wide variety of sizes and pressure ratings. The double studded adapter flange is predominately used as a crossover between two different size connections of the same pressure rating. This commonly takes place where the BOP and Riser attach to the wellhead to allow the same size BOP to be adapted to a variety of different flanged connections.

Flange to Union Adapters are available in wide variety of sizes and pressure ratings. The assembly is used for the adaptation of high pressure hoses and chicksans to studded outlets of the BOP and various wellhead components during the drilling or completion phases of a well.
